Breakdown of School Tax and Bond Measures for June 2016

A compilation of taxes for the June 7 ballot are available for viewing at CaliforniaCityFinance.com.

According to the report compiled by Michael Coleman, there are 90 local tax measures on the ballot, more than half of which are bond measures. Of those bond measures, 46 of them are for school bonds, requesting in total more than $6 billion for construction.

Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is asking for $950 million in bonds. By comparison, San Antonio Union School District in Monterey County is asking for $2.1 million.

There are also seven school parcel taxes on the ballot. Mammoth Unified in Mono County is asking for a $59 per parcel tax. While Lakeside Joint is asking for a whopping $820 per parcel tax.
