Second Woman to Lead Bonita Unified School District
The Bonita Unified School District has appointed Christy Goennier as their new Superintendent.
Goennier is the second woman to hold this position at BUSD. She will be replacing Kurt Madden who was terminated for unknown reasons. Madden was hired as superintendent last July and was placed on administrative leave in March, making Goennier also the second person to hold this position at BUSD in less than a year.
The Daily Bulletin reports that she will make $232,000 for a four-year contract.
Last Monday, the District hosted a public reception to give the community the opportunity to meet the new superintendent.
We wish her the best!
