New Deputy Superintendent for Elk Grove Unified

The Elk Grove Unified School District has created a new job title of deputy superintendent and has put facilities administrator Robert Pierce in the position.

According to The Sacramento Bee, Pierce’s promotion will earn him $225,000 annually, with a $100 monthly auto allowance. This is up more than $25,000 from his previous package of $198,051 each year.

Pierce has been with the district since 2008 after leaving his position of assistant superintendent at Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.

Elk Grove Unified currently has more than 62,000 students. The board has eliminated two associate superintendent roles in the process, but added two chief offer positons as well as this deputy superintendent positions. Superintendent Chris Hoffman says that this had no additional cost to the district’s budget.
