Hayward Has A Superintendent…Sort of
About two months ago, the Hayward Unified Superintendent was put on administrative leave amid an investigation. That investigation led to a number of salacious findings about Superintendent Stan “Data” Dobbs and other colleagues, and eventually his termination.
The school board has now approved a two-year contract for Interim Superintendent Matt Wayne. He began his role in this position when the whole saga began to unfold and will retain this position until June 30, 2018.
He receives $240,000 a year plus an additional $160 for each work day that he was acting superintendent, which took place from July 1 to Sept 28.
