Moreno Valley Needs New Superintendent

Riverside County’s Judy White made history when she was appointed to serve as the county’s chief of schools, making her the first woman and first minority to hold the position. However, her appointment has now created an opening for superintendent for Moreno Valley Unified.

Now the board must appoint an interim superintendent and then begin a search for a permanent replacement.

As of now the Press-Enterprise reports that Chief Academic Officer Martinrex Kedziora is a name being thrown into consideration for the role of interim.

White will be missed. Fellow school board member Jesus Holguin cited this is a small loss for Moreno Valley, but really a huge gain for the entire county.
