We will remember her as someone who dedicated her life to public education, her community, and her family. Our thoughts are with her friends and family now as we all grapple with this great loss to the Alameda community.”

She is survived by her husband Mike, daughter Emma, and two sons Eamon and Finbar. She was elected to the board in 2014 with a term that was expected to end. The board will now have to appoint a replacement. Hopefully one as dedicated as she was.
