Eight Districts Receive $625,000 to Increase Number of Bilingual Educators

Eight local educational agencies across the state are recipients of $5 million worth of funding to help increase the number of bilingual educators.

The California Department of Education sent a request in September to educational agencies in the state asking them to apply for funds. Four school districts and four county offices will each receive $625,000 in funding as part of the CDE’s Bilingual Teacher Professional Development Program.
