Galt High Superintendent Released From Contract

The Galt Joint Union High School District has officially released Superintendent Elizabeth Kaufman from her contract so that she may deal with personal matters.

Superintendent Kaufman asked for the release after the wildfires in Santa Rosa affected her family.

She does not plan to return to the district, and the district has appointed Kevin brown as interim superintendent while they find a more permanent replacement.

Kaufman and her family had been evacuated from their home in Fulton last month and are now dealing with the aftermath.

She had been Superintendent since August 2015.
