Orchard Union Hires New Superintendent

The Orchard Union School District has selected Dr. Wendy Gudalewicz as their new superintendent.

“In Superintendent Gudalewicz, we have selected a leader with 29 years of experience at all levels of education, from teacher to superintendent. She has the skills and experience to strengthen the classroom experience for our students,” said Karl Jacobson, President, Orchard School District, Board of Trustees.

Dr. Gudalewicz previously served as Superintendent of Cupertino Union School District before being ousted from the position in April.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead the Orchard School District, and feel that this is a great place for my skills,” said Dr. Gudalewicz. “I can’t wait to start working, and to get to meet the families and staff that make the heart and soul of this great district.”

She has signed a two-year contract earning $108,375 for the remaining eight months of this school year and $163,375 for the next school year.
