Elk Grove Teachers Union Faces $11,500 Campaign Violation Fine

The FPPC has issued a $11,500 fine to the Elk Grove Education Association PAC for violating the state’s Political Reform Act several times in 2016.

The PAC failed to submit two campaign statements and six different contribution reports on time.

The report did not say that the PAC intended to conceal any information. The errors have been attributed to negligence.

The PAC faces five counts with fines up to $5000 each. The $25000 penalty was reduced to the $11,500 administrative penalty.
