Temple City Unified Launches Mobile App

Staying informed on the latest school news is easier than ever with the new TCUSD mobile app.

The Temple City Unified School District launched a new app this week that is designed as an on-the-go source for news and events throughout the District.

With the TCUSD app users can easily access calendar events, preview lunch menus, check out the latest social media posts and much more. Parents will also be able to receive “push notifications” from the District and receive instant alerts on their mobile devices when important information about their school is released.

TCUSD hopes the new app will help bolster its community engagement efforts. According to the Pew Research Center, in 2016 about 12% of U.S. adults were “smartphone-only” internet users - meaning they rely on smartphones rather than home broadband to access the internet.

“Smartphones are a central mode of communication for most of us. This app brings together resources from all of our digital platforms in one convenient location,” said Superintendent Kathy Perini. “It’s a great tool not just for busy parents and students, but members of the community who have an interest in the District.”

The TCUSD mobile app is free, and available through iTunes and the Google Play stores now.
