Temple City Unified Fills Board Vacancy

Temple City Unified has a full school board once again.

The Board appointed Louise Huff to fill a seat left vacant by John Pomeroy who resigned in December.

Huff brings nearly 25 years of experience as a District employee to the Board. Recently retired, she remains active in the community through her participation in the Temple City Women’s Club, health fairs and Relay for Life.

As a longtime resident, Huff’s own children attended and graduated from Temple City schools. She seeks to apply her experience as an employee and parent of the District to strengthen the unity amongst the adults helping students along their path to success.

“Many of our alumni have returned to work as teachers and administrators here, that is a positive reflection of our work here as a great team,” said Huff.

Huff will serve until November 2018, the next general election. TCUSD is one of several districts across the state to shift to even-numbered elections.
