New Superintendent for Bangor Union Elementary

Part-time teacher Lauren Albert has been chosen to lead the Bangor Union Elementary School District.

Albert is far more than qualified to lead the district. She has 14 years of experience as an educator, two teaching credentials, an administrative credential, a master’s degree of education in curriculum and education and a master’s degree in education administration

She replaces Superintendent Roger Bylund who led the district through multiple wildfires. Albert stated one of her first projects as Superintendent will be writing a grant to restore the school’s garden, which was damaged in the fire.
