Sausalito Marin City School District Gets New Superintendent

The Sausalito Marin City School District has found its newest Superintendent to replace the outgoing Will McCoy.

Terena Mares, deputy superintendent of Marin County Office of Education, will take over the district for one year. She was appointed by MCOE Superintendent Mary Jane Burke.

Mares will continue her duties with the county, but about 75 percent of her time will be spent working with Sausalito Marin City.

Her salary and benefits package will total $307,000.
