Olympic Athletes Donate Equipment to Agoura High Fire Victims

It’s been a tough year for students in Agoura Hills. Ventura County was already reeling from a mass shooting in neighboring Thousand Oaks last month when a devastating wildfire broke out, destroying some 100 Agoura Hills homes and forcing 95% of the city’s residents to evacuate.

But on Monday, students at Agoura Hills High School received a heartwarming consolation from Olympic Sports and Team USA.

“Olympic Athletes visited the high school Monday morning where Olympic Sports donated new equipment to the high school teams after their sports shed was destroyed in the Woolsey fire last month,” NBC Los Angeles reports.

“Students met with athletes Sahvanna Jaquish, Danielle O'Toole, Janie Reed and Delaney Spaulding, members of the U.S. National Softball Team, the first team from any nation to already have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.”

Talk about holiday cheer.
