Search Your School’s Vaccine Rates With New EdSource Database

Herd immunity makes the industrialized world go ‘round. But with bogus medical exemptions flourishing, that protective barrier has been punctured in too many California schools.

Thanks to EdSource, you can now check vaccination rates at your place of learning. The website has released a searchable database here that shows current immunization rates for kindergartners, including how those rates have changed over time. The database also shows the percentage of children with medical exemptions. This information could be invaluable for parents or teachers with very young or immunocompromised children.

The website offers up one stunning example: Sebastopol Independent Charter in Sonoma County. Just 43.2% of its kindergartners were fully vaccinated for the 2018-19 school year. An astounding 45.5% had received medical waivers.
