Three More School Districts Sue Popular E-Cig Maker
The Campbell Union High School District, the Davis Joint Unified School District, and the Chico Unified School District have joined a growing list of school systems suing electronic cigarette maker Juul for its role in creating a youth vaping epidemic. The three districts filed their lawsuits Thursday.
“Juul marketed these dangerous and addictive products to youth without warning,” Campbell Union High School Superintendent Dr. Robert Bravo said. “We are in the business of educating students, not cleaning up Juul’s health crisis.”
The Los Angeles Unified School District sued the company in October. That led to a domino effect. The San Diego Unified School District, Glendale Unified School District, Compton Unified School District, King City Union School District, Ceres Unified School District and Anaheim Elementary School District have now filed lawsuits as well.
