Bomb Threats Close Down School Three Times In a Week

Authorities evacuated Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach on Monday in response to a bomb threat. This is the third time in a week that a threat was received by the school, prompting officials to take action.

The school was previously evacuated on Dec. 7 and again Dec. 11 for similar threats. A search was conducted all three times and returned nothing dangerous.

The Manhattan Beach police Department is working with the FBI on the case in order to identify any suspects who will be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law, up to and including incarceration,” according to a Police Department news release.

If the caller is a student, they could be expelled from the school district.
