Database In LA Aims To Help Its Foster Youth
The Los Angeles County of Education has developed a countywide database to help store and share information about school-aged children in foster care.
The database known as the Los Angeles Educational Passport System uses the Aeries student information system. LACOE wants all of its districts to sign on to the program, but currently only 10 districts in the county have.
There are about 25,000 school-aged children in foster care in LA County.
