Teachers, Students Cheer Cafeteria Manager After She Passes US Citizenship Test
A Cuban-born school cafeteria manager in Edmond, Oklahoma was greeted with a standing ovation after passing her test to become a US citizen last week.
Heartwarming video of Yanet Lopez walking down the applause-filled halls of Prairie Vale Elementary School have gone viral. Teachers and faculty can also be seen hugging and congratulating Lopez, who holds a miniature flag near her heart.

“Every morning Ms. Yanet walks into the office and proclaims ‘Good Morning, Pretty Ladies’ and with a smile and a laugh she always starts the day with a positive message!" Principal Michelle Anderson wrote on Facebook. "We laughed that she would know more than those of us born in the US. I am honored to work with one best US citizens I know!"
