Planet Fitness Will Provide Free Gym Access to Teens All Summer Long

Planet Fitness will open its facilities to all high school students ages 14-19 this summer, free of charge. The High School Summer Pass Initiative runs from May 16 to Aug. 31. It’s a successor to the 2019 Teen Summer Challenge, which attracted over 900,000 participants.

All of this summer’s participants will be automatically entered to win the Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass Sweepstakes. The prizes are a $500 scholarship for one teen in each state plus the District of Columbia and one $5,000 scholarship grand prize.

Current health guidelines recommend that teenagers get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. During the pandemic, less than 15% of teens met that recommendation.
